TourneyX is an app used for fishing tournaments like the Smallmouth Shootout. Pictures are submitted remotely to the app to allow tournament directors to keep track of total score. You will need to download TourneyX in advance of the tournament- make sure you are registered for the correct pool!

No- anglers of all skills levels are welcome in the Any Fly pool. There will be prizes for most trash picked up, so you can get skunked and still go home with something cool!

No- Kings River Outfitters offers canoe & kayak rentals. You are also welcome to wade fish, but floating is recommended based on average flows for the tournament.

Yes- it is highly recommended that all anglers are familiar with the Kings River & floating best practices. The Kings River is an undammed, free flowing river that is subject to extreme changes in level. River safety is paramount.

Each team will upload fish pictures (reference rules for proper fish pictures to avoid deduction) to TourneyX app. The top 5 length fish for each team will be aggregated, and that will be each teams score. Highest point total in each pool wins.

Weather & water permitting, the 2026 Smallmouth Shooutout will take place on 5/30/2026.

The tournament takes place on the Kings River in Arkansas. Check-in will be remote, but checkout will take place at Kings River Outfitters.
