Rules
General Rules (applies to both pools)
Teams may only enter one pool
Limit one boat per team, max team size of 2
Angling begins at 7:00 a.m. and lines out by 4:00 p.m.
Participants may only fish on the Kings River
All anglers must submit fish for scoring through the TourneyX App- Note: all anglers will need to download TourneyX and register to the pool they are fishing (free) in order to submit fish pictures. Link to register to TourneyX in pool specific rules below.
All fish must be measured/photographed on a bumpboard. Bumpboards used to measure fish must be a Ketchboard or similar board, as opposed to aluminum rulers or measuring tape. This is to align with KBF standards and ensure all fish are properly measured. All fish measured with an aluminum ruler will be docked .25″ and all fish measured with tape will be docked 2" in addition to other measurement violations that may occur.
All fish must be measured with the mouth closed against the end of the bumpboard, with a flat hand placed over the fish.
Team score is an aggregate of the length of teams top 5 fish
All fish in top 5 aggregate must have picture of fish with measurement and identifier (identifier provided at check-in)
All fish caught must be released
Only smallmouth bass will count towards aggregate score
All boats must carry a mesh trash bag or something similar
No motors of any kind allowed, including trolling motors
If water gets too high or low on day of tournament and/or there is severe weather, the tournament will be rescheduled
If an angler/team cannot participate in the reschedule date, there will not be a refund
This is a tournament for charity. Any suspicion of cheating will result in immediate disqualification. Do not leave room for interpretation.
The Kings River is a public waterway. Be respectful to other boaters & anglers.
One-fly Rules
All general rules apply to One-Fly
Team may only use one fly pattern
If fishing in a team of 2: both anglers must have same color, size, weight, and pattern of fly. In short, the fly needs to be the exact same.
Teams must establish a float plan with tournament director (director will reach out the week prior to the tournament)
Teams must begin/end floating at a public access point
Boats/persons will be subject to search prior to launch
this is to ensure anglers are only launching with their one-fly
Anglers cannot replace a lost fly and cannot fish the Any Fly bracket

Any Fly Rules
All general rules apply to Any Fly
Teams can use any fly pattern and may switch fly patterns as often as they would like
Fish still need to be registered through TourneyX & have proper pictures/C&R techniques
